Weekend Adventure

So this weekend we got to do a little off-roading at 11,000ft.!  We found a beautiful mt. valley only about an hour from where we live.  People were still skiing the backcountry on July 23rd.  The runs looked pretty long too.  We had fun until we hit the snow line and then had to head back down.  Charlie did awesome in the car, no more crying in his car seat, thank the Lord!  This makes road trips much more bearable.  Driving anywhere was pretty miserable, up until about a week ago.  Now we just sing songs.  I'm starting to realize how weird baby songs are.  I sing them because they are all I can remember.  "Rock-a-bye baby from the tree tops, when the wind blows the cradle will rock.  When the bow breaks the cradle will fall, and down will come baby cradle and all.."  Hum, not sure what that's all about.  Charlie LOVES, "Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world.  Red, and yellow, black, and white ..."  We think that part is funny too.  No, seriously though, he loves this song!  His absolute favorite is "Jesus loves me," and I love that.:)  For some reason when I sing it, he looks at me with the "I love my mommy eyes."  Super cute and precious.

Lots of love.

Yeah for being in the mountains!
