Road Trip!

Charlie is officially the best road tripping baby ever!  He didn't really cry at all.  He only cried when we put him in the car too early at 5am.  I really couldn't believe it because it was 20 hours one way.  I was really dreading the trip, but the weather was our only hardship.  On the way home we drove all the way across Kansas in a crazy wind/dust storm that was rocking the car for about 8 hrs.  Charlie just kept practicing his singing that he learned from Great Grandma Dorothy, while I stressed about the 18 wheelers and RV's that were swaying violently in the wind!  We also stopped a ton not only for Charlie, but for a weary and exhausted Tim from the South-by-Southwest festival.

So I usually make all of Charlie's baby food, but didn't want to deal with it this trip since we were driving.  I discovered the "buddy fruits" from the store and Charlie obviously loves them (and so does his car seat!).  I really love Charlie's faces in these pictures, but he does have tons of "buddy fruit" all over him!!!  I told myself I was never going to be the parent that had the kid with food all over his face, but on this trip that went all out the window!

 (Charlie got top two teeth in the last month, now lets pray they aren't as big as mine! :)

I need more "buddy fruit," is it really gone!?!

 Humph!  Fine.

 (Mad face, it just keeps getting better!  It kind of reminds me of a teenage girl with an attitude, hehe.)
