I never really, truly, knew what "burning the candle at both ends" meant. I've always been a little hyper active and didn't need or want to stop and rest much. Well, I can say that I've definitely been feeling this way lately. Jackson started sleeping poorly on our way down to Houston for Christmas. He started waking up 6-8 times a night. That is the definition of loosing your mind, if you wanted to know:)! Constantly feeling tingly, dizzy, can't talk straight, drinking too much coffee, haha, all symptoms of crazy sleep patterns. On the bright side, I got tough a few days ago. I did as many, many people told me before I had Charlie, I let Jackson cry himself to sleep. It was like pulling teeth, but it's done. He SLEPT through the night, 8pm-5:30am, for the first time in 6 weeks last night!!! Praise the Lord! Just when you feel like you literally can't take anymore, like dry wispy dust, the baby gives you a break. These are the moments no one can prepare you for in life! As if life couldn't get any busier...it seems as though we are starting a little side business. Pulled Pork! One of many of Tim's adventures in cooking, he is now making amazing pulled pork. He got a smoker for his birthday and now is selling a little of his goods. It is mighty tasty and super fun to smoke! The wind and snow storms, and staying up all night have been part of the adventure as well! Now we are talking about making a commercial kitchen in the backyard..to be continued.

One particular individual loves this process.
Crocs I've had for 10yrs. Originally bought for $5 at the thrift store. Almost go down in flames, but only suffered a minor hole in the bottom. Close call.
A beer in hand is a must when smoking, if at all possible.
Colorado winter, pleasant, feels like home to me.
