My brother and I had 56hrs. to explore and I wanted to go to Southern Colorado. With two small children, my delinquent dog, and 30 weeks pregnant, we didn't do too bad! He was already on a trip in the mountains, so we met in Lake City. Good morning, Lake San Cristobal in the fall! We did a little fishing at Deer Lakes on Slumgullion Pass and then took a quick drive over to Pagosa Springs for a dip in the hot springs. The next morning we hit up the Great Sand Dunes National Park. The boys were super sad to go home, but did miss their daddy! I never would have guessed that becoming a mother would stretch me so much, physically, mentally and spiritually. What used to be so carefree and easy, has become a huge accomplishment these days - getting out into God's nature. It's these moments that remind me where I am today, where God has taken me, and who he has created us all to be - it is for freedom that he has set us free! Sometimes we really need to push ourselves to receive refreshment for our souls.
This boy will smile for any picture, if he can say "hot chocolate!"
Yay for Uncle David making FIRE!
The jokes were abundant!
The smallest hunter, found himself a gun, sensing it was hunting season.
A favorite spot in my memories.
Pretending to be awake...
The Dunes!
I promised the boys the largest sandbox they had ever seen!
Too hot for little man to walk.
Charlie body surfing, totally in his heat element.
Amazing amounts of digging to be had!
